About Me

I thought it might be interesting/more entertaining to describe myself through photos

Hi. I'm Nicole

This past semester I studied abroad in Madrid, Spain.  It was four of the best months of my life.  I really feel like it is important for everyone to travel abroad for an extended period of time in order to become more educated, cultured and appreciative.  I lived with a host family and four other girls from USD and will forever remain close with them because of the experiences we had together.  After this experience I can say that I am sufficient in Spanish and know Madrid like the back of my hand.

This is another photo from Madrid that was taken by one of my roommates.  In the center of such a large city is a famous park, Retiro, where you can rent little paddle boats.  This picture represents my experience abroad.

One of my passions in life is traveling and adventure.  I have had a list of "101 things to do before I die" since I was 16 and am working my way through that list year by year.  This past semester I had the chance to check quite a few things off the list, one being skydiving in Switzerland.  I highly recommend it and cannot wait until I have the opportunity to skydive again.

I am addicted to coffee.  I would love to own a small coffee shop when I am older that is aimed towards entrepreneurs and/or people who just like to think creatively.  I would like to say that I know all best coffee shops in San Diego county, but if you know of some that I haven't heard of or visited PLEASE let me know.

I think that the TOMS shoes business model is one of the most revolutionary of our generation.  I set up a "Style Your Soles" event at USD in the fall of 2009 and am working on planning another one for this semester.

I really enjoy being outside and running.  I am so thankful to be living on the bay in Mission Beach this year; home to one of the prettiest runs in San Diego.  (This photo was during a cross-country race in high-school)

This semester  I am most excited about being able to hang out with my younger brother, who is currently a freshman at USD.
